Mic Mount - Hula-Cow Studios Universal Shotgun / Pencil (SDC) Microphone Shock Mount

This is a universal shock mount designed by, used at, and sold by Hula-Cow Studios.

They're made to isolate pencil/shotgun mics (small diaphragm condenser mics) from bumps and vibrations.

Comes with 3/5" screw mount and 2 washers. (ASSEMBLY NOTES: Use Washers between end 2 teeth on either side of mount hinge. Leaves a tooth "floating" on either side when washers are missing. Gives good grip but better adjustment smoothness than meshing all the teeth together.)

For the shock cording: Heavy rubber bands, fine shock cord, ponytail elastics, all of it works fine. Just be sure it's got enough tension to support the mic, and enough grip to keep it from slipping. NOTE: I used ridiculously oversized ones in the photo, but regular band will work AND look much better.) ; )

We have a few of these in our studio, and they work great. Plus the hula cow mascot is fun.

For PLA/PLA+ we've been using 221C, tri-hex at 13% infill, and fans at 100% to print them without support. (If you can get by with no support, it's a good idea, because cleaning all the little bits out of the details is a mild pain.)
