3D model description

This model is the logical continuation of a complete scratchbuilt I did a few years ago of the mythical Marine troop transport in the film "Aliens the Return".

At the time, I had collected photos, plans and video captures to create a realistic model, much better than the good old Alcion kit.

I think I've faithfully rendered the complex lines and angles of this massive machine using today's modeling tools.

Here's a legendary model for any Sci-Fi enthusiast! The more daring can continue the adventure by detailing the interior (beware, the film scenes were shot in the studio and not in the vehicle) and or add the lighting for the headlights, spotlights etc.

3D printing settings

The model was produced at a scale of 1/35°.

it's a massive kit, which will require time (five printing plates) and a good quantity of resin

As the body and roof are large, I've included files with front and rear half-bodies, as well as for the roof.

The half-body and roof will have to be printed with a minimum angle of 5° to the horizontal, medium to 70% supports,to avoid distortion and streaks, the body floor has multiple holes that will have to be filled afterwards.

Other parts can be printed flat on thin or medium substrates, depending on their size (see photos).

Be sure to use your slicer's "mirror" function for wheels (left and right), shackles and turret rails.
