This is a flying semi scale model of Bob Hoovers famous Shrike Commander.

The fuselage and the nacelles are made as a tubular design – dual shell with infill between – light weight yet stable. The wings and tail surfaces are solid parts with infill, orientated so the print direction gives maximum strength. Carbon tubes in the wings and tail for assembly. Spinners, wheels and most parts for the landing gear are also printed. Removable nose cone gives easy access to the battery. Easy fitting of wingtips – quick assembly on the field.

Scale: 1:8.33.
Wingspan: 1800mm.
Length: 1345mm.
Height: 521mm.
Wingspan without wings: 880mm.
Weight: 3.3kg (Painted) Unpainted 3.15-3,2kg.
Intermediate flying skills needed.

3D printing settings

Nozzle used 0.25mm for most parts – 0.4mm for others.
Print time ~ 500hrs
Build size minimum: 300x300x400mm.

hello, I've been analyzing the project, it's spectacular level of detail, congratulations, excellent work.

does this easily scale down?

I know some people use a 0,4mm nozzle with 0,25mm line width and 0,1mm layer, but I have no experience.
You must use the settings in the documentation or the plane will be to heavy.

Do you think it would be possible to print all the plane with 0.4 nozzle without compromazing weight?

The plane is build for:
Motor DYS 3536 1000kv, 10x6, 50amp esc, 4s-4000 nanotech.
Servos 8x MG90s
Servoless retracts.
I use Taranis with 3 receivers. 1 in the fuselage and 1 in each wing.

There is a complete bill of material in the manual.

What's the recommended hardware (servo, lipo packs, motors, esc)?
