The Super Tucano (EMB-314) is a light attack aircraft designed and produced by Embraer. With a wingspan of 11.14 m and length of 11.38 m, this aircraft has some minor visual resemblance to its predecessor, EMB-312 Tucano designed initially by Joseph Kóvacs. Also known as ALX or A-29, this aircraft has an improved variety of operational suites ranging from advanced training up to precision attacks and intelligence. This aircraft is currently operated by at least 18 different countries, being active in environments from deserts in Afghanistan to deep down in the Amazon jungle. In addition to defence and attack missions, the Super Tucano is also used by the notorious Brazilian Aerobatic Team “Esquadrilha da Fumaça” (Smoke Squadron) which has broken several world records using this very same aircraft.
This is a unique and original model designed over hundreds of hours of modelling with attention to detail aiming for aviation enthusiasts. It captures a wide range of details such as panels, doors, instruments, and control surfaces. With a scale of 1/42, the model has a wingspan of 260 mm and length of 261 mm. The 1/42 scale is a balanced trade-off between printing time, size and details, requiring a regular 200X200 mm printing bed and a standard 0.4 mm nozzle. Any scale larger than 1/42 is compatible and will certainly enhance the details of the model. For smaller scales it is recommended to use smaller nozzles (0.3 mm and 0.2 mm ). The tolerances are well within 0.2 to 0.5 mm so just minor sanding and filling will be required if you have a tuned printer. The assembly process is self-intuitive and does not require any special tools other than glue, files, and sandpaper for the finishing.
