This wind turbine can produce electricity!
The wind turns the turbine and cause a LED to light up.
The stronger the wind blows, the brighter the LED lights.
I have already tested at the wind turbine it works very well. The wind turbine is already turning at the slightest wind but the LED only lights up at a slightly higher speed.
So this wind turbine is a storm-warning device.
The Motor diameter is 23mm, height is 12,8mm and the shaft is 2mm.
Bearing: DIN 625 SKF (outer diameter : 16mm; inner diameter 8mm).
This project is still in progress!
3D printing settings
The roof was printed in Red PLA with 0.20 layer thickness an 20% infill and no support.
The Mainbody was printed in Red PLA with 0.20 layer thickness an 20% infill and with support from the printing tabl.
The Gears have been printed in yellow PLA 0.15 layer thickness an 20% infill and no support.
The PLA has a very poor quality "el cheapo" but I can afford no better quality.
This would be best printed in ABS. PLA will likely soon melt and distort from the heat from the sun.
