Ultra-Sonic Distance & Speed! Measuring equipment

This project is able to use an ultrasonic sensor in order to detect a distance to an object and the speed of an object thanks to the Finite difference method algorithm the calculates the
numerical derivative of the distance to find the speed.

In oder word just point it to an object that for example is coming towards you and il will tell you the speed that it is approaching you.

It has also a function that can remeber the maximum and minimum distance that you have register. Let's say for example you want to know the dimension of a room, with this project just point it to the opposite wall and it's done!.

IMPORTANT:
- To reset the maximum and minimum distance just cover with
your finger the right cilinder of the ultrasonic sensor and the
arduino will recognized it and resetting the max and min values.

  • I really reccomend to personallized your project in the code of arduino. In the Void Setup enter your name instead of mine (look at the picture to better understand what I am saying). During the boot phase in makes it very personalized in my opinion:-)

As always I've included the CAD files so you can make to my project any adjustemnt that you like or modifications.

I've designed it with fusion 360 but I've included a STEP files for better compatability with others CAD programs.

There is also a circuit schematics so it's easier for you to complete this project.

UPLOAD THE ARDUINO CODE:

I've opted for a normal LCD display with no I2C communication protocol so there are no external library needed.

To install it to arduino just open the sketch, select your arduino board in Tools -> Boards -> aiduino/genuino Micro

then

select the COM ports where the arduino is connected in Tools -> Port -> COM XX

Click Upload and it is done!

PS. Unfortunately due to the square format of the pictures in Cults, some of them are a bit distorted but in the download the should be all fine.

if you can use supports only under the lcd display
opening, all the rest can be printed without supports (I
hate supports material)

LID: 0.3 mm layer height
2 solid bottom layer
4 solid top layer
5 perimeter
No supports material
