3D model description

Calling all Miniature painters of all levels!

There are many palettes, wet, dry, dimples, angled wells.... which one do you need?
Wet palettes rock for advanced blending and keeping paints workable for long times.
They suck for metallics and inks though
Dry plates are great for metallics, but inks run off.
Wells and dimples are great for washes and inks, but aren't great for other things..

So why not have them all?

I designed this palette as a one-stop shop for what I use while painting miniatures.
The Wet Palette is a standard size to fit The Army Painter refills (though i also like cutting Frisk acrylic refills to fit) - unlike many wet palettes out there this has the option of a rubber seal, and locks closed rather than using an easily lost strap!
The wet palette has a separate water top up area to the right so you can rehydrate your pad without getting any unwanted moisture on the palette surface.

The Dry Tray is first of all hinged so you can close between sessions. (the few wet palettes I've seen with one have them in the inside of the lid, so you cannot close the case with painting still in progress!). It is integral to the palette, rather than a clip or magnet-on option that stores separately and would no doubt also get lost or annoying.

Each area of the Dry Tray is individually removable for cleaning, and you can drop in replacements in between cleaning sessions if you prefer to keep going!

Inside the lid there's storage for 4 standard brushes. Use whatever combination of tensioners work with your chosen elastic band - you want as little tension as possible without it being slack.
Also in the lid are the two arms that swing forward to hold your reference images, or if you prefer, your mobile phone - for those of us who use digital reference, or like to watch YouTube/Twitch painters while we paint!

The case is held open by both the reference stand, and dimple catches in the hinge arms.

Optional - I coated the dry palettes with Polyurethane Gloss Varnish prior to use to keep the cleanup easy.
For the seals, I used elastic bands of length 40cm around (20cm if held to a ruler folded flat)
