3D model description
Good morning, everyone,
Today, I present you with flanges to use your Filo3D reels. Filament which, I remind you, is only sold with a cardboard support. It's better for the planet!
I kept the idea of the spiral, because with the PLA, the curves and the thickness I imposed, the "spring" effect is very good.
I add to this, double "claws" on the tips of the spiral. Their purpose is to lightly mark the cardboard of the Filo3D and thus prevent the flanges from being damaged during use or storage.
Finally, and after many tests, I finalize the machine with filament passages on the edges to avoid uncontrolled unwinding of the spool during storage. (it's a detail but it's important).
So there you go, the flanges are finished, functional and nice.
I would like to thank Jerome C. who detected a small problem before I made this pre-written publication.
The problem in question is the size of the flanges.
They pass without any problem on the set of a Disco in 200x200mm... But not on the Neva/Magis stage in Ø180mm.
Okay, so a quick thought... um... okay, I'm doing
a pair of special Neva/Magis flanges.
Don't panic, they are almost the same, there is just a more pronounced curvature in the spiral to reduce the size for printing and the spring effect is less strong (but still very suitable) and will be usable in the same way as the "Disco" version!
So I keep both "versions" for your convenience.
I wish you a good day and the most beautiful prints in the world!
This is a personal project, which took me a lot of time to design and realize, which I offer you for free, all under a relatively open license.
So I would not make a custom modification (hence the choice of the license)
However, if you are satisfied and want to support me, you can offer me a coffee ;)
