This is my Rasptop (Raspberry Desktop) that I designed. This runs on a 12v input. There is an LM2596 voltage step-down for the Raspberry PI 3. It is very portable and can use the 7" monitor or just connect to any display. I set it up so it can run on an 11.1v RC battery. I can also plug in my solar controller that I made and run it off of my 30-watt solar panel as seen in the above link. The HDMI I used was a little tight, I have a 90-degree angle one but I couldn't find it. All in all, works pretty well.
