Here's NEOFLOW, a custom printhead I designed for the Ender 3 NEO, Ender 3 v2 NEO, Ender 3 MAX NEO printer!

This print head was created because no print head on the market met my criteria. It was therefore designed to :

-Minimize weight;

-Optimize filament cooling;

-Evacuate heat from the hotend;

Minimize printhead volume (for a 3-fan model);

-Use 40x40 fans;

-Be as quiet as possible;

-Direct drive compatible (Creality model).

The result: a super-quiet print head that weighs 29 g (print head) + 9 g (plate).

Assembly requires :

  • 4 X 4-40 screws (Fix);

  • 6 X 6-32 screws (fans);

  • 3 fans 40x40 (I used 3 "Noctua" fans, model NF-A4x20 PWM);

Unfortunately, printing requires supports. I suggest printing the plate at 30% density, and the printhead at 100% density.

When assembling, it is necessary to shift the probe (CR touch). Normally, this is in Menu -> Configuration -> Advance set -> Probe offset. The probe is at position

(X=0, Y=-60, z= -1.60)

The E3V2 file is for the ender 3 V2 NEO. The other is for other printers.

For the more curious, the print head enabled me to print the Cura extension "Bridge test" without any problem. The test was carried out with PETG, direct drive and was conclusive at 50 mm. *see photo

I had a lot of fun designing it, and I hope to share this little marvel with others!

I invite you to post your photos in comments.

3D printing settings

I suggest printing the plate at 30% density, and the printhead at 100% density. Use the "build plate adhesion: Brim" option with 8-10 lines of thickness to get good adhesion.

Brackets are required for printing. I suggest printing with the 4 contact points (the 4 tabs) on the plate.
