McGrid - The Snap-on grid for Aputure AL-MC (60° & 90°)

This is McGrid, our own snap-on grid for the Aputure AL-MC, in two different light-spread variants.
You get a 60° grid and a 90° grid for total control over light spill, as well as a protective case.

The different STL files:

• AL-MC_Grid_60degree – this is the snap-on grid featuring a 60-degree angle
• AL-MC_Grid_90degree – this is the snap-on grid featuring a 90-degree angle
• AL-MC_Case_Grids+MCs – this is the protective case that can fit two MCs and each grid
• AL-MC_Case_onlyGrids – this is the protective case that can fit both grids but no MC

Please follow the placement instructions on the pictures, otherwise you might not be able to fit the items into their protective cases.

All products work with PLA but the grids will be a little more sturdy if you print them with ABS.

Quality: 0.15mm
Infill: doesn't really matter. We used 15%
Important: activate "detect thin walls" for printing the grids. This will reduce the printing time by 50%

Supports: None

We printed on a Prusa i3 MK3S+.

Be careful not to overbend the latch or it will break. However, the grid still has a tight fit without the latch and in most situations, the grid won't fall off the MC. Still, the latch offers more security, so that the grid won't come off.
