3D model description
This is a clothespin-style filament cleaner for the MakerGear M2 printer. This filament cleaner uses a common clothespin spring to hold it together which makes it easy to remove from the filament during a spool change. There are two filament guide holes in this cleaner which allow the user to use an alternate guide if the filter foam starts to wear out in the first guide (the Ester foam cleaner pads can easily be turned over for more service life as well). This model can be used on any 3D printer that has open access to the filament path before it enters the extruder. There are two versions of the filament cleaner, the regular version (III) and the heavy duty version (IX) which has thicker filament guides.

3D printing settings
I made this print from PLA at a resolution of 0.25mm. I used 30% hex infill and sliced it with three shell layers all the way around. The spring is from a common clothespin and the two foam pieces were made from Ester foam (polyurethane) taken from an old camera case. I personally don't believe in using oil in a filament cleaner/filter although I can’t see any reason why you couldn't with this model.
