3D model description

These are replacement knobs that were designed to prevent the bed level from shifting due to inadvertently bumping the stock Ender 3 leveling knobs.

Once the knobs and lock washers are installed the bed can still be adjusted, but the teeth in both the knob and the washer provide a tactile click, and prevent slippage.

If using the "Bed Level Visualizer" plugin for Octoprint (description here: https://plugins.octoprint.org/plugins/bedlevelvisualizer/), each click represents about 0.027mm of bed rise/fall, so about 4 clicks per tenth of a millimeter.

3D printing settings

I think these are best printed in PETG as they are more durable, and PETG tends to be a little more slick making the operation of the knobs smoother

The knob contains a cutout for a captive M4 nut that should be inserted mid print at 11.4mm. I used the Prusa ColorChange web app to automate this. That can be found here: https://blog.prusaprinters.org/color-print/

I also, included an additional knob file that is designed to accept a M4 5mm OD heat insert, for those that prefer it. I printed the the knobs separate from the washers at 0.15mm layer height and 50% infill.

The washers were printed ridge side down (tooth side up) and required supports. I did this to maintain the detail of the washer teeth. Printed at 0.15mm layer height and 100% infill.

It's not about precision. The clicks are just far too hard and you can't turn the knobs at all.
Just install harder springs and it's perfect.

If you need more accuracy then you should purchase/build a smoother bed.

How does this affect precision of tramming the bed? Seems like it would provide a minimum increment, not ideal.

Bonjour.
Ça l'est oui, mais ça n'est absolument pas fonctionner. Les crans sont bien trop durs, il n'est plus possible de tourner les molettes une fois en pièce. Du coup c'est de l'argent gaspillé à acheter ça et du filament qui part à la poubelle.
