Made this to cut old props to the specific length i wanted. I use a old damaged 1104 motor i had as a rotation axis for the prop. I'm using a 1mm end mill - https://bit.ly/2Jeeoj8
Each hole for the motor Block has the number prop length in inches. On my pictures you can't see it well because i forgot to configure the supports when i made the Gcode. ;)
I have two versions for the motor block (rotation axis for the prop).
Threaded version - to print in ABS and use a M3 tap.
Insert version - to print in PLA, heat a M3 insert in the tip of a long screw and gently push it throught the hole. Works like a charm!
Beware of the end mill when using this tool.
Hi my name is Luis and i'm a industrial designer in the molding and tooling industry in Portugal. I started in 3D printing by building the reprap Mendel in my electronic engineering years. Nowadays i'm tinkering with my Felix Tec4 and a Prusa MK3 with MMU2.
I love 3D printing, the concept of having the part you design in your hands in just a moment is fantastic.
My hobbies are 3Dprinting (of course) and FPV Drone Racing. Check out my teams page:
