This is a mount for a webcam which allows it to sit in front of the printer. It is held in place by the weight of the printer itself.
NB - This version of the base is extended and has gripper spikes as my printer is on raised flexible feet on a rubber mat. If yours is standard height, it'll need the thickness of the base element to be reduced. If I get chance I'll try to modify it and upload that version.
This is designed to allow a wireless (or otherwise) PT webcam to simply sit on the circular platform. It's in two sections so that the top can be removed to open and close the front door. There is also a spacer which I didn't need but made anyway in case it helps. It can just be resized to fit between the other two elements to give vertical adjustment.
I am very much an enthusiastic amateur when it comes to designing. My designs tend to have two things in common
1) They serve a purpose. I like to design functional objects which have a real-world use. 3D printing for art is fine, but it's its real-world application which will take the technology forward
2) Wherever possible I design to be easy to print and try to eschew supports or complex printing; modifying the design where necessary and possible to achieve this.
