3D model description

I have a project that is printing with 2.3 kg spools of filament that are 100 mm wide. I had to create a spool holder that would accommodate the size and allow the spool to freely spin. This spool holder is a remix of another bearing spool holder on Thingiverse that works wonderfully.

I have created 1wo different versions. One is a regular bearing without support bracing under the bearing holder and the other has bracing that works with the Ender 3 and Ender 5 metal spool holder and uses the slots to help the bracket bear the load of heavier spools.

This remix will allow the use of much larger spools. I've even created one that will allow the use of 5 kg spools.

UPDATE: I have added a version that uses the Creality locking nut along with a locking nut you can print if desired.
Your printer must be really tuned in well to print the locking ring and the spool holder. The tolerances are pretty close to prevent sag. The locking ring DOES fit on the metal bracket you just have to be a little firm with it the first time you put it on. The best thing to do is put the locking ring on the bearing holder and work it a few times to make it easier to seat when you put it on the bracket.

I have been printing and designing 3D models for more than 5 years now and I still find it fascinating. Most of my designs are free, but there are a few of them that require payment. I'm retired on a very limited fixed income and the sale of the designs helps me to by filament and parts. Thank you for viewing my designs and I hope you find them useful.
