This is a cr10s5 "all in one" conversion with the quiet drive.

It is not totally perfect on the board and can be modified. suggestions are welcome. The print time is LONG and I needed the s5 to print things, so my notes are not totally perfect.


  1. Print 3 feet and 1 foot with sdcard holder.
  2. Print all the other pieces 30% infill and PLA works fine.

(I did not print the display, I had a modified one I used, so if anyone prints it, please tell me if it fits on a standard display.)

What I did is I removed all the bits from the box that a cr10 has. I took pictures so I knew where the wires go and removed all the wires.

I mounted the 2 boards, (see photos) the mainboard and rasp PII board.

I mounted the buck convertor and MOSFIT. (might need wires to extend the run)

Mounted the power connector on the edge.

Connected the buck converter to the power supply and got it to 4.9 volts.

Plugged in the rasp pii and made sure it came online

Connected the motherboard to the power supply, and connected the pii to the motherboard.

Attached the sdcard extension to board and foot.

Most of the connectors are simple, what threw me was the yellow wires without connectors and the black and red wire without connector. That was easy after looking at the pictures I took before I removed the board from the black box.

Facing forward, the sdcard foot was on the left, and the display is on the right.

Attaching the motherboard to the frame I did notice a few misalignments on the board, so I changed it to allow for wedges. idea is to put the board in place and slide to wedges in the square hole to fiction hold the board.

To convert you will need:
Creality 2.2 board.

4 practice golf balls (foam) - cheaper than squash balls.
- (I found 4 at walmart for $3)

a cr10 extension kit

20x m3 8 mm with t nuts

rasp pii connectors:

sd card extension -

buck converter -
(I prefer this one because I can see the voltage)

rasp pii - I have a raspberry pii 4 with

a handful of wire.
