3D model description

Getting hyper cheesed off with the constant whining of the Predators internal fan so took off the lid to have a look at it. My, what a disappointment! A crappy bit of bent tin, only securing two of the 4 fan mounting holes and fixed directly to the print area roof which acts like a massive sounding board. I thought about buying a quiet fan but they're not cheap and having successfully used antivibration rubber mounts in a couple of PC cases, I thought I'd try out the same with the Predators OEM fan before forking out on a new one.
The mount uses the original pair of mounting screws in the electronics enclosure. You will need at least four of the rubber fan mounts which are available on Amazon or Ebay. Link to the ones I used below.

The photos show the mount fitted with the fan temporarily with bolts before the rubber mounts had arrived but even that has a noticeable effect on quietening it down from the flimsy little bent steel effort.
