At the advise of my wife, I have nothing further to say about this thing with the exception of the following:
This thing was designed using Sketchup 8 and printed in PLA on a Makerbot Replicator 2 using Makerware 184.108.40.206.
Print as many sections of "Chain.stl" you require using Makerware "Standard" settings. Once printed, snap each section together and close the loop. Carefully loosen the chain by working each link. Note to fine tune the length, individual link pairs are removable.
Print "Ball.stl" using Makerware "Standard"settings modified to use rafts and 0% infill. Once printed, snap it into the chain between two links. It's designed to fit "loosely" so it will fall away, instead of break, if it gets caught on something. If you want a permanent fit, use cyanoacrylate.
