3D model description
This simple design is based on the idea of contrast in color and material. The aluminum sandwich material features a white surface, metallic and black edges and gives a great contrast to the foot made from two layers of stained beech plywood. The parts are mounted with 40 mm counter sunk stainless steel Allen screws and nuts size M4.
Creating hexagonal holes in the upper part was more a funny idea, because the stand was made for use with Stabilo Point 88 pens which have a hexagonal shaft.
The build was done on a desktop cnc-machine from Stepcraft from 6.5 mm beech plywood, 2 mm Aludibond (aluminum compound material) using a spiral-toothed 1.2 mm flute for the wood and a two-edged 1.4 mm flute for the aluminum.
Keep in mind that the "build stl" is meant for three dimensional viewing only.
