Spiral Tree in Spiral Mode

A spiral tree designed to print in spiral mode! Perfect for the holidays, I designed this tree for tea lights and made a forest that I shared with family and friends. The "base" is the raft printed with the tree. This tree was designed using Mathematica.

I printed them in vase mode two at a time using the duplication mode on my MakerGear M3-ID Rev. 1 printer.

I used a translucent red and translucent green PLA filament. They also look good with clear or natural filament. I just don't have any of those left for photos. (Maybe I'll print some more tomorrow.)

They stack together well for easy storage.

Note: The model in Simplify3D looks like it has problems, but it slices perfectly and looks fine in the print preview.

Tree model is approximately 73 x 72 x 89 mm.

Printed in "Single outline corkscrew printing mode (vase mode)" with Simplify3D using 0.1 mm layer height, 2 top layers, 0 bottom layers, 1 outline/perimeter shell, 0% infill. No supports. Approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes to print.
