3D model description

I have a great friend who deserves it all, and she also likes Harry Potter A LOT.

I decided to design her a key holder inspired by that world.

She guided me in the design, so that it would be as close to her idea as possible, and the truth is that it turned out great!!!

clearly, being a key holder, it had to have the Alohomora spell.

after a lot of trying and testing we were able to create some locks where you can fit the keys and turn them as if you were locking or unlocking a door. there's a lock for every house!

I also designed a socket so that the keys could have little wings on them, as some of them will go on the wall as decoration.

We hope you like it and we encourage you to do it!!!!

3D printing settings

for 0.4 nozzles:

  • the castle and the 4 lower parts must be printed vertically, so that the inner "mechanism" comes out well.

layer height 0.2 - 0.28 with 15% infill is sufficient.

  • Alohomora can be printed as you like. I did it with layer height 0.2, 15% infill and top smoothing.

  • the windows, being so small need good resolution, so layer height 0.12 and 100 fill. speed 20mm/s

  • Keys should be printed at 0.12 or 0.16, with 100€ infill to make them strong.

the socket for the wings I printed it at 0.12, 100& infill and 20mm/s

  • the locks also at 0.12, 100% infill and 30mm/s, to make them look nice

The wings are optional, but if you want to print them I also advise 0.2 or 0.28, 100% infill and 30mm/s

My printer isn't doing very well lately, so it's very likely that you guys will get much better results than me :)

For the gold parts I used Fillamentum's Gold Happens filament.

for the castle, a dark one will work fine. I only had traffic black from Fillamentum.

for the windows, Rapunzel Silver from fillamentum as well.

(I like this brand a lot, their Vertigo filaments are very nice)

To stick it to the wall I use a velcro for pictures that holds it very well.
