I have just released my 2020 version which holds a pint glass

This is a simple but effective drinks holder using gimbals. It will fit a standard 330ml can or anything of the same or smaller diameter.

It will print in place in without supports

I have designed it to fit my tablet holder ( but I plan to use the same fitting to create other mounts.

A sparse infill also provides good insulation.

Update: I've now uploaded the grouped model which makes things much easier to align

Update 2 : I have created the first two alternative mounts. One is a clip-on one to fit a garden chair (obviously you'd have to have precisely the same ones I have). The second is a clamp on one which screws to the arm of a chair. Both have printed successfully. You may prefer to use ABS for these for the extra strength/durability

Update 3 (20/08/18): I have uploaded another version with a slightly larger diameter centre to make it fit a 300ml can more easily. The original was OK but a little tight. The newer one is 2mm wider.

Update 4 (28/08/18): I have created a mount which will interface with a GoPro mount which should give many options for clamps etc. NB - it will require support between the two mounting plates.

I am very much an enthusiastic amateur when it comes to designing. My designs tend to have two things in common

1) They serve a purpose. I like to design functional objects which have a real-world use. 3D printing for art is fine, but it's its real-world application which will take the technology forward
2) Wherever possible I design to be easy to print and try to eschew supports or complex printing; modifying the design where necessary and possible to achieve this.
