Plantygon - Modular Geometric Stacking Planter for Succulents

3D model description

Plantygon is a modular geometric stacking planter. Designed to accommodate my growing collection of succulents, it is based on the truncated octohedron which can tesselate in 3D space. This allows each planter to stack together in any combination that you’d like!

Each planter has a sloped inner drain leading to holes which drain into the neighboring planters. A version without drainage holes is also available for indoor use.

Printed planters available on Etsy:

Print more to build your garden as your succulents propagate, or collect many varieties of tiny plants!

Designed in Autodesk Fusion 360 on macbook, and printed on Ultimaker 2+ at 0.15 mm layer height.

3D printing settings

Supports optional depending on your printer’s bridging ability, I print in Cura with supports set to ‘Touching Buildplate’.

Prints well in layers 0.1-0.3mm

Para pequeñas plantas es ideal. Diseño tecnológico y vanguardista. Muchas gracias por el aporte!!!

This is super cute! I'd like to try making it myself, but I'm curious, how do the units stick together? Is it just stacking and friction or is there a hook mechanism?

Très bonne idée. J'adore

New to cults and would love to print the little truncated octahedron plant pots. But not clear on how to upload the file. Do I need a PC to do this? Currently using an IMac Pro.
