3D model description

Skeleton of a gyroid sphere that will form a floating flowerpot.

*Kokedama (moss ball) is a hanging cultivation technique popularized in Japan, which consists of mixing substrate with peat, moss and organic fibers to create spheres that will hang outdoors, where different plants can take root.

I filled the sphere with potting soil and peat until I got a semi-muddy mixture, wrapped everything in coconut fiber (fiber + coconut powder).

You can get the coconut fibre in specialized pet shops (terrarium section for reptiles), or in garden centres.

3D printing settings

I printed this model with PLA at 0.3 mm. Infill greater than 20%.

overall dimensions: 155 x 155 x 155 mm

If you are going to use the model with tree supports, it is essential that you add "brim" to the base, to improve the stability of the support sticks.
