This is a towel hanger which clips onto the front of a standard cupboard door to allow a hand towel to be hung conveniently near.
It has a reducing diameter designed to stop the towel from sliding off but still able to be removed easily when needed.
I'd suggest printing in ABS or PETG to make this dishwasher safe.
It is fiddly to print due to the filleting on the top edge. You have two choices: either print top down and make sure that you have very good bed adhesion (this needs no supports) or print front down which gives a larger area for bed adhesion but will require supports across the mounting. The problem here is that the mounting is a tight tolerance in order to make it clip firmly, so you will need to allow for this.
I printed at 0.15mm resolution with 4 top/bottom layers and 4 shells.
I am very much an enthusiastic amateur when it comes to designing. My designs tend to have two things in common
1) They serve a purpose. I like to design functional objects which have a real-world use. 3D printing for art is fine, but it's its real-world application which will take the technology forward
2) Wherever possible I design to be easy to print and try to eschew supports or complex printing; modifying the design where necessary and possible to achieve this.
