King's Trumpet Wall Mushroom

The product of a collaboration between myself and a local startup who produces culinary mushrooms for both local restaurants and hobbyists.

After buying some fruiting blocks I got to talking with Adam, the owner of Meteor Mushrooms in Nelson BC. Eventually the subject landed on 3D printing, and after seeing the fun fungal designs available online, I was asked if I could make a custom design for Adam to carry in his shop. Selecting one of Adam's more popular offerings, this King's Trumpet display-shelf was the result!

This fun mushroom display makes itself at home on your walls using a simple french cleat and #6 - #8 countersunk screws. It has a flat central section which can optionally be used to hold a small object, such as a floral arrangement or complementary display model.

Three sizes of .STL are included for various printer sizes, from 17cm versions for the popular Ender 3 to 28 and 30cm versions for larger format printers.

Print with 2-3 walls to keep the model light, with 3-4 walls recommended for the french cleat. The model prints excellently in PLA without supports, and a matt filament can help give it a nice soft finish.
