I made this for my father who is a hunter. It's one of the few things related to his hobbies that are allowed on the kitchen table.
I originally only made the shell but he wanted a bullet in it for when he didn't have any flowers in it (most of the time).
It was an excellent idea since the bullet can be used as a vase too!
I printed these in vase mode. For the bullet, I changed filament on the fly by simply cutting the "lead" filament and manually feed the copper colour in behind it.
The clearance between the bullet and shell is designed for a MAXIMUM LINE WIDTH of 1.2mm!
Contact me if you need a different clearance!
To make it watertight and rigid, I set the outer wall line width to 0.8mm (using a 0.4mm nozzle) and printed hot and slow. Increased the flow to 105% and used a 2mm thick bottom.
Eco gold PLA from Creative tools.
Technology outlet Metal aluminum
Technology outlet Metal copper
Printing outside the box since 2016
When I get an idea, I never consider if it will be difficult, skills will be learned, many hours will be put down. I don't stop until it's perfect.
