The 'Hexagon Overload' Lamp Shade

The first in a series of lamps inspired by the Greeks' love of honey [therefore the honey bee]. The honeycomb form disperses light at different intensities creating a striking 3D lighting effect.

As we have recently got a larger 3D printer we would like to offer two sizes of this design that have been specifically optimized to print in the design in two wall passes [this saves time, material and ensures a superior print finish]

This product has been designed for an E27 lampholder [40mm Diameter] if you can't find one of those let us know and we can supply you with an adapter plate/alter the design.

We printed this design with Satin Sun and Satin Salmon PLA [Real Filament]

We have tested this product with a 15W light bulb and there has been no deformation of the PLA. If you use PLA we wouldn't recommend going much higher than this.

You will need six 4mm x 16mm L wood screws to complete this build. [Both sizes]

To print this design we used an Creality CR10 Max 3D printer and the print in the photos is printed with:

[Small] 0.6 mm nozzle @0.35mm layer height

[Large] 0.8mm nozzle @ 0.5mm Layer height

[you can also use 0.25mm, 0.4mm +0.8mm]
