3D model description

For a sturdy, functional vase mode print, I used a 0.8mm nozzle—mine was an E3D V6 nozzle, and you can find it and other types of nozzles here:!!TIME_STAMP!!&amc=socialpaid.blbn.495531.504639.164166&pid=7183&rmd=3& (affiliate link)

A simple, elegant little dish that fits anywhere in the house. The form is based on a hexagon rotating constantly and expanding quickly at first and then slowly as it rises. I really like the almost skeletal ridges on the outside—they're somehow reminiscent of a seashell.

I've included 2 versions of the model: a 'solid' version to be printed in vase mode (which is how I printed the example) and a version to be printed normally.

3D printing settings

If you're using vase mode, you'll have to make the layer height relatively small because vase mode doesn't handle overhangs well. A larger nozzle will also help with this.
