Some of my followers asked me for a giant acorn birdhouse. So here it is my friends!!!

Because of the shape of the base, it is a long part to print. The body is much faster and both parts can be printed with a 0.3 layer height to save time. Entrance and stem can be printed with this layer height too, but will look better with a 0.2 layer height.

For the base, with the way it is designed, you can use only 2 walls and 10% infill for this part. It will be strong enough and once assemble it will be really rigid and sturdy.

I recommend 3 walls for the stem, the body and the entrance.

Body is 1.2 mm thick, so 3 walls of 0.4mm wide will do the job perfectly.

Base is prone to stringing, so be sure to dial your settings correctly.

HARDWARE NEEDED:
-(5x) m3x8mm screws. As usual, all the holes are self-threading, so you can use an imperial equivalent if you want like 6-32unc.

This design is made to be hanged. The hole at the top is independent of the inside of the birdhouse, so no leaks will be possible from there and the mounting point is strong and easy to use.
