Safety 1st child gate / stair guard extension - cat door

We have for our stairs in the house this stair guard from Safety 1st fetched. (it certainly also go other stair guards to clamp).

Since our cat but does not want to jump over it to get to her litter box in the basement and all child safety gates with cat flap should not be baby-proof, I have a spacer to both sides Designed.

This creates a gap of 10cm (variably adjustable by the grid itself) and the cat can pass comfortably. My son does not fit through there with his thick skull ;)

Please pay attention accordingly to the head circumference of the child when you reprint this. I do not take any guarantee!

In any case, the grid sits very firmly, you can lean against and has already survived the first year without wobbling and moving.

The wooden beam could also be omitted and attached directly to the stairs, but then the gap would have been correspondingly larger. Our stair width is quite wide at 91cm.
