3D model description
This is a quick and reliable solution for when you have got your ethernet cable's lock-tab broken COMPLETELY! (when there is not even the front of that tab left) but you do not want/have no means to re-crimp those plugs.
This is a modification of my previous design http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1085954 per request. So here it is.
This design sits well on the back of the plug and holds it in place.
I have printed it in translucent PLA. As I use a heated bed and BuildTak surface there was no need for any raft or supports but you might need at least a small brim.
Modifications 3a - when you would prefer to glue the thing on top of your broken connector. Glue just the very back of the device which lays flat. Nevertheless I prefer the full version as it holds the connector from the bottom.
