D-Nespresso Capsule Cleaner

3D model description

It is a known fact – most Nespresso and other producers’ coffee capsules finally appear in our waste-bins. We designed a tool, Capsule Cleaner for Nespresso that makes it easy to clean Nespresso coffee capsules at home. This coffee can be used in the garden, and aluminum recycled. This tool with its color mix can become a nice kitchen design element, and an inexpensive present to your friend. All components can be 3D printed using biodegradable plastics or/and milled. We changed the last design and included new design spring only (as in last two "bamboo-version" pictures) - it is easier to make (takes 15 min. to print) and is way more elegant!
- 3D-print:
materials: PLA, biodegradable PLA, PLA-wood; print-head: 0.4 mm; layer: 0.15 mm; infill: 30-40 %; support/raft: no.
- Assemble:
1) thread both sides of D-Nespresso_CC_Spacer with M5, assemble D-Nespresso_CC_PunchGuide+3xD-Nespresso_CC_Spacer+D-Nespresso_CC_CapsuleHolder using 6xM5x12;
2) thread D-Nespresso_CC_PunchHead and D-Nespresso_CC_PunchHandlewith M4, screw into D-Nespresso_CC_PunchHandlewith a no-head M4x20 screw (use glue);
3) cut 3x150-160 mm 2.85 3D-printing material wire and assemble with 2xD-Nespresso_CC_SpringFrameD42;
4) assemble all together.

Dear Blaisou,
Bamboo version is nothing else as the same version, just milled out of Bamboo. We used same STL files for milling. The new spring is not missing, it is made out of 2 (two) times 3d printed 06.D-Nespresso_CC_SpringFrameD42 and 3 (three) 140-160 mm strings of 2.85 filament. Hello Dukubu,
The file "08.D-Nespresso_CC_OriginalSpring.stl" is broken : the last part of the spring is not well decode by Slic3r.
Can you fix it please ?

Hello, thank you very much for the addition! I actually made my workaround, I printed a 2.85mm x 140mm cylinder with 100% infill, laying down to absorb cvertical compression better, and it works perfectly haha. Printed with a resistant material to be extra sure, but so far it has responded well!

Thank you very much for your kind comment!:) You are right, not everyone prints with 2.85 filament, therefore we included the original spiral. Please download the files again, and you'll find it. There's a bit of a hassle to remove supports from it but we do not recommend printing supports with PVA - use same material instead (it also prints longer and we are not that patient:). We recommend ABS for the spiral, as it is a bit more elastic than PLA but PLA would also do. Print at least with 1 mm wall, and 40-60% infill. Thanks for your comment again. Hello, thank you very much for the design, which I bought because it's great! And a nice present for my parents who love recycling. Just one question: because I don't have any 2.85 filament around, is there any alternative to that? Thanks!

We reworked the spiral as it is in last 2 pictures - it is much faster and easier to make and gives even better results, and in the end... is much more elegant, therefore we included the "new-generation-spring"! As stated in point 3: "cut 3x140 mm 2.85 3D-printing material wire and assemble with 2xD-Nespresso_CC_SpringFrameD42.". Enjoy!
