3D model description
Prepare the template for the soap dish. Here we’re using a 3D print, but you could use wood or clay.
Take a Mayku Cast Sheet from the pack.
Peel the protective film from the top of the sheet. Remember, you can put this into household recycling
Place the sheet in the FormBox, and start to heat the plastic.
Place the outer template in the centre of the vaccum plate.
Watch the plastic as it ripples at the edges and begins to droop in the middle.
Form the template with the Mayku Cast Sheet.
Leave to cool slightly before removing from the FormBox.
Separate your template from the mold by applying firm pressure to the top of the form.
Mix some concrete by adding water to the concrete powder.
Add earth pigments to tint the concrete.
Pour concrete into the mold to just below the rim.
Shake the mold to remove any air bubbles. You'll see them rise to the surface.
Leave to set overnight.
Gently remove the concrete by applying pressure to the corners of the mold.
Leave to cure for 48 hours.
For a smooth surface on the bottom, place a sheet of coarse sandpaper on the table and rub the dish gently against it.
Place your FormBox soap creations in your new soap dish!
