Works great as a bookend when filled with sand (fits about 500 grams) or when printed smaller to watch over your things from your shelf.

Comes in both FDM and SLA versions (hollowed out).

The design will print without supports, however, small supports in strategic places can help your printer improve shallow overhangs (eg. bottom edge of the book).

To fill the model with sand, print it with 0% infill and a wall thickness of 3 or more lines. Then drill through one or both of the ports on the underside, fill it up and glue the plugs into the ports.

SLA prints: Even though the model has a flat base it can be beneficial to lift it up and connect it to the build plate via supports in order to clear the vents on the underside. This will reduce the suction forces and lower the risk of trapped air.

The model in the picture was printed on an Ender3 in PLA with a 0.15mm layer height.
