Always wanted some Lego minifigures on your wall?
Here is a design just for you!
This design comes in different versions:
multicolor print for single extruder (no multicolor printer necessary)
outline with face
For this design you need 5 files:
You need to print them in exactly this order to make this print work.
Keep the temperature for extruder and heatbed after each print (set in your slicer or preheat your printer again after printing).
Start with 01_Face in black (eyes and mouth) and change color after each print. The next files are named after the colors I used - yellow face, red shirt, blue pants. Feel free to use the colors you like best.
End with 05_Frame in black and let it cool down completely before removing.
Each file has a built-in skirt to make it more easy to line them up correctly. The next skirt should be outside the previous (see picture above) for perfect line-up.
Do not add a brim or raft!
The files are designed for 0.2 resolution, so it's important to print in 0.2 to make it work.
I printed it in PLA, but other materials should work as well.
This design prints pretty quick and the colored parts are thin. Print in transparent material and you'll get nice window art.
For it is pretty thin you can also print it as a first layer test or to try new materials.
If you like to do some additional paper crafting together with your kids or if you just like simple outlines on your wall, the outline files are for you.
Watch the video to see how it's done:
The files are availlable as complete with face, outline only and face only, all in two sizes (150mm or 200mm).
The complete version has built in connections for the face to keep it in place.
To create nice art together with you kids (or just for you) print the outlines on thin cardboard (inside the .docx file) and color it as you like or use it as pattern for colored cardbord. Make sure to print in 100% size.
Cut along the outlines and glue it to the print.
If you print the version complete with face, glue the paper to the top surface and cut away the built in connections after drying.
To put it on the wall I used patafix, but poster strips etc. will work as well.
Have fun with this print and please share if you made one!
All files are designed for 0.2 resolution.
No supports or raft needed.
The multicolor files have a built in skirt.
Don't add a raft, brim or additional skirt!
The outline files can be printed with a brim for better adhesion to the buildplate, if necessary.
