3D model description

A toy airplane, toon version of the mighty F-4M or RAF FGR.2, iconic due to the "fattened" lines, necessary to accomodate the RR Speys.

3D printing settings

FDM printing settings:

Slicing in CURA:
->> Always Enable "Union Overlapping Volumes" in "Mesh Fixes" Panel.
->> Wings on the Sparrow missiles are quite thin, in CURA, enable "Print Thin Walls" ("Shell" panel).

  • Infill: 30%
  • Supports: yes, everywhere.
  • Layer height: 0.1mm
  • Bed adhesion: 8mm brim

Use a slow speed to improve quality on small parts, missiles.
Several separate parts to glue in place after removing supports.
Be extra careful removing supports from weapons, wingtips and tails, these areas are usually fragile due to the sweepback angle.
