A tiny jet ski that uses parts that should have been in the sky... (old toy drones scrap)
Twin squirting waterjet in only 13cm!!

Can be printed in PLA. No supports needed.

I suggest using coreless 8.5x20mm motors, anyway the 7x20mm and 6x**mm hulls are included in the download for you to experiment with.

@ = the parts in this files must be duplicated in the slicer software and the copy must be mirrored on the X axis.

The project is based on recycled parts of old rc toys, but you can buy them following the links of the list below!
Many micro RC enthusiasts probably already own most of the hardware needed for this project such as unused rc veichles, spare parts or scrap. recycle!!

To control the boat engines, as an alternative to the 2 separate esc and receiver in the list above, it is possible to:

  • Try to hack a old drone board using MPU-6050 to disable the gyroscope and accelelerometer(what i'm using now!) and use the drone transmitter or if the board protocol is compatible a jp4in1 multiprotocol transmitter like this
    In the download package you will find more information on how to try to disable the gyroscope and accelerometer in the boards of toy drones using the MPU-6050 invensense through a simple hack(no guarantees!)

  • Flash NFE experimental firmware forks for hovercrafts on silverware compatible boards(beecore lite, whoop lite) not for beginners.

  • To use an aio betaflight brushed flight controller like the BeeRotor TinyBeeF3 Controller by changing the pid values or betaflight settings be totally unreacting to gyro/accell changes.

  • Use other toy's boards that already have 2 integrated escs like small rc twin motor planes, with their remotes

  • To recycle servo's eletronics to use them as tiny brushed escs. Search the instructions on youtube.

Is it watertight?

No much, I recommend covering the circuits with nail varnish or a dedicated protective product, put the battery in a small waterbaloons and keep a piece of sponge inside the hull.

Due to the size of the parts of this model, some precision and experience is required in fine-tuning the slicer and printer settings.
You may need to refine some parts after printing to fit them.
If some parts do not fit together with little force, you can try increase / decrease their scale by 1% or change the flow % in the same way.


For best results with the tiny parts, my suggestion is to place 3 + 3 mirrored elements in cura on the bed and adjust the printer speed, fan, temperature, flow as they are printed, while checking for errors and sagging.
Propellers are the most delicate parts to print, make sure you have good cooling of the printng area when printing them.
The shaft holes of the propellers and couplings are smaller than the shaft specifically to be tightened once installed, you will need to heat the shaft a little and force it through them.
