3D model description
"I need power... MORE POWER!"
Daemonhood is the ultimate goal of any champion of the Dark Gods. This apotheosis grants them freedom from death, while simultaneously making them an enemy of all order and creation. This bestows upon them the title of Daemon Prince.
Yet all those immortal ascendant still walk in the shadow of the one who came first; The mortal who drew the gaze of all 4 gods and rose to this exalted rank. He is the first of the damned, and the lord of shadows; Be'lakor The Dark Master.
Who he was in his mortal life, including his name, has long since been lost to time. Many scholars and historians believe he was one of the earliest champions of the dark gods, managing to impress each of them with his many ruthless deeds. When he was drawn to the realm of chaos, the gods rewarded him with an immortal form; each one giving an equal fraction of their awesome power to bind to his soul. Be'lakor, the first Daemon Prince, was born.
While each of the four tried to outdo the other with bestowing greater gifts of power, Be'lakor had no intention of giving complete loyalty to any one of them, instead using his rank to pit the four against each other. When he was strong enough, he fled to the mortal realm, taking the newly gained power with him. He attracted untold thousands to his ranks, throwing the mortal realm into disarray with every campaign he waged.
As his power and influence grew, so did that of the Dark Gods. They hadn't forgotten his betrayal, and each knew not to make the same mistake again. The gods began to diversify their following, instead bestowing new champions with Daemonhood that would remain loyal to them individually. Through the centuries, Be'lakor began to see his power diminish. His followers splintered as new champions came forth to challenge his rank, bringing those who favored one god away with them.
When the Elves enacted their great ritual, and drained the winds of magic from the mortal realm, the daemon legions slowly began to fade, and were banished; Be'lakor among them. When he returned to the immaterium, Be'lakor had drawn the four gods' gaze once again, this time earning their scorn and contempt. As punishment, he would no longer be permitted to cross into the mortal realm and would only leave at the behest of the dark gods. He was given the eternal task of crowning the Everchosen of Chaos; a title he craved, but could never achieve. Since that time, Be'lakor has been a bitter and jealous individual, always looking to escape his subservience, and whispering to any in his desire to break free.
