3D model description

Great little folding shock stand for 1:10 scale RC cars. This was modeled for Team Associated 12mm & 13mm shocks, but should also work for many other 1:10 scale shocks. Legs snap in place using small magnets improving stability.

05/27/22 Update;
-File now includes two top deck files. A new 13mm top deck for the Team Associated 13mm shocks, as well as the original top deck for the Team Associated 12mm shocks.

It's an easy print, both legs and top deck print without support. You will need to purchase a few items to complete the build.

Heatset inserts are M3xD5.0xL4.0 purchased from the HotXYZ store on aliexpress. If you can find heatset inserts of the same size, they should also work. These are the same size as the ones used on Voron 3D printers. Printed Solid sells small heatset insert kits as well.

I used 2mm self-adhesive foam sheet from Benecreat on Amazon. You do have to use 2mm foam, a thicker foam will not allow the stand to fold up properly.

And you will need some 6x3mm magnets. I used DIYMag from Amazon, but these can be found in many different places.

3D printing settings

This is an easy print and can be used with all commonly used materials such as PLA, PETG, and ABS. There are no specific print requirements, I used 3 perimeters, 4 top and bottom layers with 13% infill, but you can use perimeters that will work for you. Prints in about 2-3 hours depending on your settings.
