3D model description

Here is a new version of the articulated fingers. One size fits all. No guarantee will fit all fingers oversized to fit most. I can't stress enough sticky foam inside the fingers helps them size correctly to your fingers. This version I'm trying out a new harness to connect to the fingers and your hand and wrist. There's two different versions one with holes to tie and one with Clips to fasten to. It just takes some cheap quarter inch elastic to fasten, I used super glue works great. They go together the same as the others you can see the pictures under bone fingers for reference for assembly. Enjoy

3D printing settings

I recommend if your printer will allow using the full plate STL file that uses roughly 200 by 200 millimeter bed size. Set your layers .2 or .1 . And supports a brim if you need it for adhesion to your bed. And set it and forget it.

Hi, I am a newbie and I just downloaded this great project! Can someone tell what the complete set would be for me to print. Not sure what I need to print to make a complete set!

Dennisfrock you can check your messages for my reply.

The file for the "Robo Blades Fingers" didn't download correctly for me. Could you please make it available for me to download again.
I think I forgot to SAVE the file before I opened it. Sorry.

Can i use only 2 knuckles if i want it shorter ?

I have the 3 knuckle bone fingers. Made one so far. Turned out great. Can't wait to add the back plate. ;)

Printed out one hand of the robot claw fingers and have to say it is very interesting and ingenious design. Pretty sure my nephews will have a great time with them when they come to visit. One thing I've noticed that can be quite time consuming is the ability to put everything on, especially when one hand already is occupied with the printed fingers put on. An idea I was instead of having multiple straps to keep everything together separately, was to lace it up like a shoe with paracord or elastic bands to better keep tension and zig zag it from hole to hole. Once it gets to the wrist, have both ends of of paracord or elastic band material cinched by a spring loaded button type cinch commonly found on draw strings of hoods for hoodies or coats. I feel this would make taking this completed print on and off alot faster and easier and allow for faster print times not needing to print hooks and buckles, faster assembly time to just weave one rope/elastic band before use, easier to put on hand and take off, and easier/faster to make hand size adjustments. The other idea is to modify the fingers to allow small mounting holes on the upper side of the finger joint pieces at the top and bottom directions of the upper side of each joint. This would allow people to attach small springs between each joint to assist in keeping the fingers open. The human hand muscles have way more strength to grasp objects than to open. This would help assist keeping the hand from being fatigued on kids or someone planning on wearing for long durations when using as part of a costume. All in all! Everything works great and awesome engineering to make it work flawlessly!

woah!! only just seen these puppies!!! added straight to me cart ;) will pay as soon as i get next paycheck ;)

ive also seen a similar articulated claw design on you tube from a guy from usa called gary fay and somehow his design seems to have an internal mechanism as you cant see the workings ... he does sell them to order but at such a ridiculous price ..

these are awesome as they have different designs love this one .. !!

Grabbed the Dragon ones and they are awesome - Would love to see a thinner design as the Dragon ones are a bit bulky for a few of the costume ideas we have. This design looks a tad less bulky - Can't wait to see further designs and improvements :)

Yes guys I'm working on the backplate for the other hands it'll be a separate download for free only because the file sizes are huge on those downloads. Please have a little patience I just do this my spare time thank you everybody that purchased the hands

this backhand plate for the other styles would be nice! i would buy them then :-D

Any chance of getting plates for the other 2 styles? I'm going to pick this up when I'm back at my PC I have the dragon and bone already. Been very pleased. And I think having a straight up blade version like Edward scissor hands might also be kinda awesome, if maybe a bit odd. But definitely keep the designs coming
