This is one of my favorite ball pyramid puzzles. For a new twist, I made it from rhombic dodecahedra rather than spheres. These pieces can also be printed without supports.
Print one copy of each of the six pieces plus the base plate. This is one of the most confusing puzzles I know so solving it will probably take some time. It may be that this version is easier than the usual sphere version ... or maybe harder. Unlike the sphere version, the final pyramid is self-supporting. So if you want to make it even harder, leave out the base plate!
Note that two additional pyramid shapes can be built with these six pieces, as shown in the photos.
The rhombic dodecahedra have a diameter of 2 cm.
