Large wheel on Playmobil scale

Electrified Ferris wheel models to the scale of Playmobil characters.

The wheel consists of 2 flanges connected by a spacer, the central axis is fixed to the spacer by means of 2 10x15 bearings. The central axis is drilled to allow the passage of a 4mm threaded rod that holds the entire wheel on the gantry with 2 lock nuts and 2 washers. The central axis can be advantageously replaced by an aluminium tube cut to the right length. Each flange consists of 8 sectors. One of the flanges integrates the drive gearwheel.

The unit is driven by a 100 rpm reducer motor purchased on Ebay:

The 4 rpm reduction is ensured by a gear train housed in a housing. The back of the box also contains the 9V battery which ensures the operation of the unit. The switch can be placed on the back of the box or offset in the ticket office with a bistable pushbutton:

The elements of the gantry as well as the sidewalk were cut to allow their printing.

The ticketing wall includes 3-colour elements that can be printed separately or together depending on the printer.

The articulations of the nacelle and gate axes are modelled to be printed directly functional.

A sheet of stickers has been put in the archive for decoration.
