3D model description

I present a full-size mechanical replica of the German MP-40 submachine gun. This model is not intended for shooting and can be used as a collection model. The model was developed by me in the program Autodesk Inventor Professional and printed on the QIDI Tech Dual printer. The size of the assembled replica is more than 600 mm in length. Many large parts had to be divided into smaller parts, and then glued together. You can use the free Autodesk Meshmixer program to divide large parts according to the printing capabilities of your printer. The set of printed files also includes all the necessary documentation to assist in printing, post-processing and assembling the replica, as well as a list of numbered parts (fully consistent with the set of placed files) and two drawings showing the locations of the parts. All documentation is presented in PDF format.
The smallest post-processing of the parts after printing is required, since all the necessary gaps are already taken into the printed files.
The file set includes models of all pins, but I recommend using metal pins for small pins. Nevertheless, the springs you have to pick up only metal. Their dimensions are indicated in the attached documentation. Please pay attention - all sizes are indicated in millimeters. I do not give specific recommendations on the print material. It can be ABS or PLA. Personally, I printed on the PLA. 90% of the parts were printed as 0.2 mm per layer and only some small parts were printed as 0.1 mm per layer. Printing speed ranged from 40-70 mm / s. On average, the printing time for all parts took approximately 170-180 hours on my printer.
If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to ask me.

You can watch the video clip in which I demonstrate the simulation of the mechanism and partial disassembly of the submachine gun at this link:
