3D model description

We created this cute little articulated elephant last month for our friends in Nantes, at IRT Jules Verne (France).

Their city is well known for their giant puppets. The most famous one is a huge robotic elephant, the size of a building.

Since they bought a lot of material from le FabShop, including a ton of MakerBots, our creative director, Samuel N. Bernier designed this little toy to be used as a goodie.

It had a great success, so we decided to share it with you.

3D printing settings

You can download two files for two different size :
XL size (length : 275 mm)
XS size (length : 90 mm)
Can be printed with 0 infill if you want

The Z resolution we used is 0,2. (MakerBot's standard setting)

We used MakerBot's Pumpkin orange PLA.

Tengan cuidado de subir sus diseños a CULTS, sin previo aviso les bloquea la cuenta, les roba sus STL y no dan respuestas. Lo peor de lo peor. 100% estafadores. Mi usuario es 3drovettas

Be careful uploading your designs to CULTS, without prior notice it locks your account, steals your STLs and does not give answers. The worst of the worse. 100% scammers. My user is 3drovettas

This needs support between legs and body. there are overhangs there which are printed in mid air.

Thanx! :-)

Thought you should know, someone is selling this design on Etsy without attribution:

Both left legs start to print too late. The right legs start printing first, then after some layers the printer (Ultimaker 2) tries to start printing the left ones – in the air. Does not work for us :(
