3D model description

Passionate about the card game Magic The Gathering and especially the "Commander " format, I made this Deck Box to protect my cards and my Commander, during our games. It also allows me to showcase my Commander and make it more visible to other players.

The front of the Deck Box offers a slot that can accommodate your Commander. Simply slide it in from above. It removes very simply from its slot when it enters play.

New features

This new version includes three new features:

  • A dice drawer, on self-locking rails

  • A transport cover

  • A small easel for a possible second commander ("Partnership" rule)

The Deck Box can hold more than 100 cards.

The dimensions of the Deck Box are particularly suitable for cards protected by sleeves (optional).

  • Dimensions (L x W x H): 107 mm x 75 mm x 96 mm

  • Wall width: 3 mm

Updates / Corrections

  • 18-12-2020: minor change on the drawer, to make it "less slippery".

  • 22-12-2020: new lids (3 new designs, improved lid fit on the Deck Box).

  • 23-12-2020: easel to support a second commander next to the Deck Box, to meet the "Partnership" rule.

The first version of the Deck Box is still available here:èle-3d/jeu/bibliotheque-3d-magic-commander-magic-the-gathering-mtga

3D printing settings

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm

  • Layer height: 0.20 mm

  • Filling density: 15%.

  • Supports: yes, but only for the Deck Box frame (see photo).

My tips:

  • I put 4mm to the spacing of the support pattern, so that the frame supports don't extend over the frame, but only over its bottom edge.

  • I used the "Octagram Spiral" fill pattern as the bottom fill pattern, which I think is very cool!

  • 3D file format: STL
