3D model description

The second coordinate motion puzzle which assembles into a Rhombic Triacontahedron. This puzzle has three pieces, all different. The basic piece resembles a swan, perhaps. Three Swans make a triacontahedron, missing some parts. Making the coordinate motion work on this puzzle design required swapping golden rhombohedra between the pieces.

The assembled puzzle is hollow. There is a cavity in the center which can be filled by an optional fourth piece (blue in the photos), or you could insert some small treasure. Another option is to insert a small sphere, this puzzle was sized to fit one exactly 15 mm in diameter.

3D printing settings

All pieces need supports. Piece 3 contains a "hole" and is the most difficult to print.

The assembled puzzle is 48.5 mm in diameter. The pieces have an offset of 100 microns (0.1 mm). Printing this puzzle may be easier if it is scaled larger. That way the area on the build plate is larger, and the offset will be increased.
