3D model description

Hexagonal box with mechanical drive by means of gears and rotary opening.

The transmission is very smooth, although I recommend lubricating the gears, both those at the base and those that open and close the gates.

The model is printed in PLA with 0.6 mm nozzle and 0.25 layer height for all elements, but I recommend using a lower layer height, such as 0.1 mm, for the inner cylindrical part.

Two parts are available for the rotating base, a simple one, and one with corner trims, which will allow the insertion of a hidden box locking system.

3D printing settings

Layer height 0,1/0,25.

PLA material, although any other can be used.

Nozzle max 0,6 mm(I do not recommend higher nozzles, because of the reduced size of some of the pieces, and the edges of the gears.

They only need supports the lower hex piece, and the screw that attaches to this piece (it has an arrow that should point upwards when printing).

I recommend printing everything with the same orientation that you have in the files, so that the contact area between pieces is always the one with the highest surface quality.
