3D model description

"What is that thing?!"
"I don't know, Patrick. But whatever it is...IT MUST'VE EATEN WORMY!"

Plague Drones are those Plaguebearers whose favorability with the Plague God has granted them personal flying steeds in the form of Rot Flies. These colossal insects are considered Nurgle's most spiteful creatures, with their black, soulless eyes never blinking as they sink their proboscises into the flesh of the enemy. They are greatly prized by plaguebearers for their swiftness, able to fly circles around all other demons of the Flesh Legions.

In battle, the near deafening buzzing of their wings is unmistakable. On the approach, the Rot Fly falls upon its foe, sinking its forelegs into the target and latching onto its head. The Rot Fly's proboscis sucks the essence entirely out of its victim, followed by the beast swallowing the head whole. These heads are kept in the abdomen of the creature, and can often be seen bulging out of its sides in a horrific reminder to what fate awaits those mortals the Rot Fly consumes.

The Plaguebearers, while still armed with Plagueswords, are also gifted with Death's Head Blight Grenades. This explosive ordinance showers the impact zone with disease-ridden shrapnel and toxic fumes, giving the unit a strong ranged attack.

3D printing settings

The fully pre-supported versions of all poses are available to all my patrons. Find the library here:

The file list has the Blightwings in 7 poses, each armed with a sword and grenade, including:

5 Riders (50x75mm Square Base or a 60mm Round Base)
1 Officer (Ridden) (50x75mm Square Base or a 60mm Round Base)
1 Standard Bearer (50x75mm Square Base or a 60mm Round Base)

Note that each of these are made to be fliers. 6 of the 7 flies have 2mmø peg points for flying stems to be used. "PD" Denotes each rider, and "RF" denotes each mount. The number pertains to the ones that are intended to be connected together.

It should also be noted that all 6 limbs and all 4 wings are made as ball-socket joints. They are printed separately and then glued in place as required.

Whether they be miniatures for tabletop wargaming or large figurines for the shelf, 3D-Printing is my passion. I release nearly every print I do to the public, so please check the file list and see if there's anything you like.

I have opened a means to support my work, for all those that wish to. It is completely optional, and allows you access to all the models in all of their poses fully pre-supported. Find out more, here:

For anyone who is unfamiliar with 3D Manufacturing Format (.3mf) I recommend Microsoft 3D-Builder to open and modify them as needed. It's an incredibly useful program I use in almost every workflow I do.
